Rules

  • #1 and most important? Pick up after your dogs, we will have poop bags available for everyone to use.
  • Trash ~ just makes sure no trash is lying around; we will have plenty of garbage cans around plus a large dumpster to use.
  • Swim at your own risk!! Please watch your children if they are swimming!!
  • Shoes in the pond are recommended but not required.
  • Fishing ~ if anyone chooses to fish in the pond (and yes there are fish in there) IF you should catch BIG RED you have to let us take your photo for the wall but then you have to release the big guy back into the pond, anything else you can keep if you like.
  • Dogs on lead ~ Always a complicated subject.... Let's have everyone get acquainted before letting any off lead. From there we will play it by ear. If everyone is getting along then they are more than welcome to be off lead. Please just be sure to be respectful of those that are water training. Keep your dogs on the other side of the pond so they can train and not be distracted. The same goes for eating, try to keep your dogs with you while you are eating. Also - the entire property is fenced-in but there will also be a HUGE "separate" fenced-in area. You can use that while you are eating or aren't able to watch them closely. Your dog(s) can be loose in there as long as they get along OK with any other dogs that may be in there at the time. We will also have stakes spread out for to tie your dog(s) to if needed.
  • We also will be implementing a BANDANNA policy. While we all know that our newfs, in general, are easy-going and lovers ... there "will" be intact dogs of both sexes there that can cause hormones to come into play - as well as rescue dogs that may not be the most comfortable with other dogs greeting them boisterously - as well as some dogs that just don't "like" to play with other dogs!!! On that note - if you have a dog that doesn't like other dogs to play with them or may not appreciate a forceful "butt" greeting - please have your dog wear a bandanna around their neck (we WILL provide these). This way others will know what that means and WILL keep their own dogs at least a leash length away from that dog. PLEASE respect those dogs wearing the bandannas - do not ASSUME because YOUR dog gets along with others that the OTHER dog will too!!! We want NO ACCIDENTS.
  • Also - while we REALLY REALLY want our dogs to be able to be comfortable off-leash - if your dog cannot stay near you, or if you do not have a reliable recall with them... please stay near them as they wander or keep them leashed ... No heading to the bathroom or out-of-sight without your dog under control. This is for the safety of everyone else's dog as well as your own.... Thanks!
  • Not all dogs at the event live with small children and thus are aware of how strong their actions may be. Because of that, please - if you are bringing small children - keep track of them at all times and do not ASSUME all others dogs will be as careful as your own.
  • Children are NOT allowed in the fenced-in field when dogs are loose in there.

Alcohol ~ Since this is private property, alcohol is permitted - Just don't fall in the pond!!!

  • Please, just be courteous of others is the only thing we ask.
  • Last but not least ~ HAVE FUN!!
