This is Triton.

Triton was the first Newf to join our family.

I was combing thru the pet ads in our local newspaper when I came across someone selling 3 Newfs, the mom, dad and the one pup they had left. I was so tempted to take all three, but since I had never had one before, I thought it better to just start with the pup.

Triton was 6 months old when we got him and is now 5 years old! He was named after King Triton in the Little Mermaid movie... the kids named him.

One thing about Triton that makes him unique - is he doesn't like to swim! He'll only go in until the water touches his belly - but no further!! Very "un" newf-like behavior indeed!!
